March 24 - 30th, Southern Portugal, the Alentejo

Becky and Scott have something very exciting for you!  We invite you to join us personally on an insiders foodie tour of Southern Portugal!  This is our first travel experience offered by the owners of Catoctin Creek, and we would be very pleased to have you join us in Portugal in March!  It will be a fun-filled week discovering a lesser known part of Portugal.

Start date:         Monday, March 24th, 2025 – pick up in Lisbon
End date:           Sunday, March 30th, 2025 - drop off in Lisbon

Click this link to get the current agenda for our trip. Activities may change slightly, but the general rhythm of the day is the same. A leisurely breakfast, followed by a little culture, a wine or beverage tasting and a long leisurely lunch or dinner.

Pre & post tour planning

Our local travel partners at Tinto Travels have extensive experience in Portugal after having lived there for close to 20 years.  If you arrive early or extend your stay after the tour, they are happy to provide you suggestions of where to stay, eat and things to see and do. Start & finish times

The tour begins Monday at 10:00am. Please plan to arrive in Portugal at least the night prior, March 23rd.  All the flights to Portugal from the United States are overnight flights.  

On Sunday, we will leave Evora at 9:00 am and arrive in Lisbon at around 11:00 am. Our first stop will be the Lisbon airport followed by the city center.  If you need transportation to a different destination and/or at a different time, we can coordinate the transport for you. The cost varies depending on distance.

Payment

A deposit of $1,000 per person guarantees your spot on the tour.  You can adjust the quantity in the link (a couple should choose two) on the buttons below.

Payment for the balance of the trip should be made no later than 90 days prior to the trip. Our primary concern is the exchange rate.  If you pay in full before November 1, we'll reward you with a $75 gift card for use in our distillery.

Single travelers are most welcome.  If you are a single traveler and prefer to have a single room and pay in full, please use the appropriate button below.

Passport

Remember, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of the flight.
